DOES A CERTIFICATE IN TROPICAL MEDICINE OR HUMANITARIAN HEALTH SOUND INTERESTING TO YOU?
Though there are many certificate programs afforded to us as full time SON students it can be a little daunting to navigate where to begin. Luckily, a few of us have started it already so we can share what we've learned and how you can get started too.
First, things first - identify which certificate program speaks to you most! Or maybe there are just a few classes you'd like to add it all begins with finding what you want and how it fits with your schedule. For the certificate programs you'll need to email the program point of contact to ensure that SON students are eligible and allowed to participate. For Tropical Medicine and Humanitarian Health we have already inquired. Once you've done this and identified which courses are required for that program you can now do the fun part - checking to see what classes will work with your schedule; the course catalogue will allow you to input the course code and look to see when it is offered with date, time, and term offering. Remember that BSPH operates on a term system 1-4 with summer and winter institutes , the institutes are not covered with our tuition. Check out the course catalogues here:
So you've figured out what courses you want to take and when you'll take them now you can fill out the interdivisional registration sheet which will be submitted to our SON advisors. Once approved you will submit to the web-portal SIS as directed. Below is the canvas link we all have access to:
Remember the term system for registration, drops, and planning references :

2nd Term
Wednesday, October 25 - Friday, December 22
3rd Term
