WHERE: Eagle Creek (aka. Bob's place), 1493 Johnsons Mill Road, Needmore, PA

This link should get you there: https://goo.gl/maps/w3LUhq2Yc4N8zEd66

Important: that link will take you to the main entrance to Bob’s property, which requires fording the creek, which should only be attempted if you have a large truck or SUV. As an alternative for the rest of us, Bob has secured permission from his neighbor, for us to use his property to access Bob’s place without having to cross the creek. Please make sure you stay on the trail and avoid the neighbor’s gardens!! See the map attached if this sounds confusing =)

We’ll be up on the hill, in the vicinity of the house. Follow flagging/signs/driveway to get there.

We will break for dinner and then we will do it all over again in the dark.

If time (and weather) permits, we might play a couple of games of adult hide and seek (YAY!!! -cause we all know I love games!!!)

Sunday- We will start at 0900 in the morning. We will cover anything that we were not able to get to the day before and there will also be a medical exercise.

GEAR:

Please bring your 24/48 hour pack if you have it, plus gear. This means food, water (lots of water), snacks (lots of snacks). Plan to be at a location with no facilities, so be sure to account for all your needs for the day.

Bring/wear weather-appropriate clothes (whatever that may be… hint: layers!), NO shorts. Hiking shoes, NO open-toe shoes. Leather palmed gloves or sturdy work gloves are helpful. Bring matches if you are going to work on your fire building. Bug spray, sunscreen.

All that being said, there is some REQUIRED GEAR for this training. Flashlight AND headlamp w/ extra batteries AND eye protection. If you have any questions please let me know.

Optional: trekking poles, hat, gaiters, and a chair to sit on (highly recommend)

See the gear list for more. Note that we don't expect you to have the entire thing right off the bat if you're just getting started. Also, note it doesn't include sleeping gear & other 48 hr "amenities" (like two days’ worth of water).
